I want to open a checking account.
What kinds of accounts do you have?

Saya ingin membuka sebuah rekening bank.
Rekening- rekening apa saja yang ada disini?

Customer Service
:
We have minimum balance accounts and special accounts.

Kita ada rekening saldo minimal dan rekening khusus.


Customer
:
What’s a minimum balance account?

Apakah rekening saldo minimal itu?

Customer Service
:
With a minimum balance account a person has to have at least two hundred dollars at all times.

Dengan rekening saldo minimal seseorang harus ada uang di bank paling sedikit dua ratus dollar setiap waktu.

Customer
:
I don’t have that much money.
What’s special account?

Saya tak punya uang sebanyak itu.
Apakah rekening khusus?

Customer Service
:
It costs ten cents a check, but there’s no minimum balance.

Setiap cek harganya sepuluh sen, tetapi tidak ada saldo minimal.

:

 BUYING A NEW CAR  

Speaker 1
:
I’d like to see the cars you have on display. I’m not sure I want to buy one, but I’d like to see some of the new models – if you don’t mind.

Saya ingin melihat- lihat mobil yang anda pamerkan. Saya belum pasti akan membeli, tetapi saya ingin melihat-lihat model terakhir yang baru – kalau anda tidak keberatan.

Speaker 2
:
Certainly. Step right this way. These are all the latest models. They have been on the market only four of five weeks.

Tentu saja boleh. Kesini jalannya. Ini adalah model terakhir. Mobilini baru dipasaran kira-kira empat atau lima minggu

Speaker 1
:
The car I now have is about two years old. I was thinking of turning it in. They’ve changed the design recently, and my present car now looks a little old-fashioned.

Mobil saya yang sekarang in sudah kira- kita dua tahun umurnya. Saya berpikir unutk menukarnya. Model bentuknya telah berobah akhir- akhir ini, dan mobilsaya yang sekarang sudah kelihatan kuno.

Speaker 2
:
Yes, the latest models are quite different from the earlier cars.

Ya, mobil-mobil model terakhir berlainan daro mobil-mobil yang lebih dulu.

Speaker 1
:
What do you think you might allow me for my old car on a trade-in?

Berapa anda taksir mobil saya jika dijual tukar tambah?

Speaker 2
:
What year is your car?

Tahun berapa mobi anda itu?


Speaker 1
:
It’s a little over two years old. I bought it in August the year before last.

Mobil itu dudah lebih dua tahun umurnya. Saya beli bulan Agustus dua tahub yang lalu.

Speaker 2
:
How many miles do you have on it?

Sudah berapa mil  jalannya?


Speaker 1
:
I’ve driven it about twenty thousand miles. But I’ve taken very good care of it. It’s in good condition. The finish is almost like new.

Jalannya sudah kira-kira dua puluh ribu mil. Tetapui saya jaga dengan hati-hati sekali. Keadaannya masih cukup baik. Luarnya masih seperti baru. 

Speaker 2
:
Well, it seems to be in pretty good condition. All right. You may take this Corolla and leave your car here.

Ya, nampaknya msih cukup baik. Baiklah, Tuan ambil Corolla ini dan tinggalkan mobil Tuan disini.


Speaker 1
:
It that all? Don’t have to pay any money?

Apa hanya itu? Apakah saya tak perlu memebayar sedikitpun?

Speaker 2
:
No, you don’t. your car is much b I g g e r and stronger than Corolla is.

Tidak, tidak perlu. Mosil anda lebih besar dan lebih kuat dari pada Corolla.

I think I have the office space you’re looking for, Mr. Brown.

Saya kira saya sudah dapat ruangan kantor yang saudara cari. Tuan Bown.

Speaker 2
:
Is it located in the first class area?

Apakah itu terletak didaerah kelas satu?

Speaker 1
:
Yes, it is. It’s situated not so far from the Hotel Indonesia

Ya, itu terletak tidak berapa jauh dari Hotel Indonesia


Speaker 2
:
Does it have all modern facilities such as water, electricity, telephone, air-conditioning and last but not least a parking lot.

Apakah ada fasilitas modern sepsrti air, listrik, telepon,penyejuk ruangan dan yang tak kurang pula pentingnya ruangan untuk parkir.  

Speaker 1
:
Of course, it does

Tentu saja ada
Speaker 2
:
Fine. What about the length of the contract.

Bagus. Bagaimana dengan lamanya kontrak?

Speaker 1
:
Minimum two years.

Minimun dua tahun.

Speaker 2
:
Good. From what you tell me it is just the office space that I’m looking for. When can you take me to see it?

Bagus. Berdasarkan keterangan saudara itu justeru ruangan kantor semacam itulah yang sedang saya cari. Kapan anda bisa ajak saya melihanya?

Speaker 1
:
Well, it’s up to you. Any time you like.

Ya terserah pada tuan. Kapan saja anda suka.

Speaker 2
:
Well, you may take me to see it right now. Let’s go.

Ya, saudara bisa ajak saya melihatnya sekarang juga. Mari kita berangkat.
